My pants and I are at war! The pants are winning…so I am going to have to pull rank and replace them. Again!
I started out in summer 2009 wearing a size (GULP) 20…even flirting with a 22! How embarrassing!
The pants I owned though were all size 18s and because I had refused to buy anything in those above humiliating sizes, all of my pants were tight!
But after a few months of healthy eating I was soooo happy to be able to fit into the 16s my sister had given me when she cleaned out her closet right after her divorce diet (not the best diet to be on…but unfortunately extremely effective!!)
I was holding out on spending money to buy more pants! And so I wore those size 16s until they were falling off. Then I tried using a belt with them, which helped for a little while, but soon even with the belt they were falling off!
So when I got a Kohl’s gift card for Xmas, I knew what I had to do!
I shopped the after Xmas sale, gift card and Kohl’s cash in hand and headed straight for the jeans department where I tried on all sorts of size 16 jeans! Crazy I know…that was the size that was falling off of me!!!! But that is what I did!
I was so afraid to try smaller…I really didn’t think I could get them on!
I tried on 5 or 6 pairs in 16, picked out two pairs I was going to buy…and then on a whim sent FabPreteen out to get some in a lower size for me!
AND TO MY SHOCK THEY FIT!!!
And so I ended up with two pairs of:
In size:PLUS…before I went shopping, I won a pair of Lee Jeans in a sweepstakes! When they asked for my size I decided to go out on a limb and told them 14. I figured by the time the jeans got here I should be able to fit into them…and so that is what they sent.
So now it has been three weeks since I went shopping, and I now have three pairs of new jeans, size 14 and all should be well…no accidental mooning, no plumbing, and no hitching….right?
